Doctors mean hospitals and hospitals mean surgeries. Those can be stressful and kinda gross which doesn’t necessarily make for the best entertainment. That being said, some movies do get it right. Here are some good medical movies and the best cinematical docs.
Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) from “Back to the Future”
1.21 gigawatts! The inventor of the flux capacitor may be the most brilliant man alive.
Miracle Max (Billy Crystal) from “The Princess Bride”
Prince Humperdink may have fired him, and he may not be a real “doctor,” and his wife may be a witch, but he brought Wesley back to life so he could save his Buttercup. I’d trust him.
Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry) from “Rocky Horror Picture Show”
He can sing, he can dance, and he looks damn good in a pair of fishnets!
Doctors Spengler, Stantz, Venkman (Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray) from “Ghostbusters”
Three brilliant minds all coming together to rid Manhattan of ghosts and ugly slime-balls.
Stu Price (Ed Helms) from “The Hangover”
True, he’s not a doctor, only a dentist, but he pulled out his own tooth. That’s … something … right?
Dr. Evil (Mike Meyers) from “Austin Powers”
Somebody didn’t get hugged enough as a child. But he has a fascination with sharks and laser beams that I can respect.
Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) from “Jurassic Park”
I’m not entirely sure how a mathematician could help me survive an island of recreated dinos but it’s better than being stuck with that lawyer dude.
Carlisle Cullen (Peter Facinelli) from “Twilight”
This guy can live forever so when it comes to medical advice, I’d listen to him.
