Philip Seymour Hoffman: 5 Favorite Roles

With the sad passing of Philip Seymour Hoffman I’m reminded of some of his great works. Below are my five favorites. Few actors can completely transform themselves into their characters like PSH can. Drama, comedy, big-budget, indie, villain, clown … he could do anything and will be missed.

  1. Did you like him in The Master? I really did.

  2. I had forgotten PSH was in “Twister”!

He was such a convincing actor. I never, not once, thought “Here is PSH acting as the writer/baseball coach/ etc.”, like you do with some actors. He WAS that person. He could make you forget you were watching a movie.
